Flight test applications require airborne recording systems which guarantee reliable recording and precise data capture. The DATaRec® D-Series with a 3/4 ATR form factor and the D5000 Series with a 1/2 ATR from factor offer a range of rugged, airborne systems on a modular basis which provide interfaces to avionics buses as well as to digital and analog sources.

The GSR-Series has been developed for applications in telemetry ground stations and laboratory like environments. It is a 19" rack version of the D-Series and works with the same signal interface modules as well as with identical storage media.

A wide variety of signal conditioning modules including analogue, digital and avionics bus interfaces are provided to tailor a system to specific data acquisition requirements.

Fight Recorders

With data rates from 28 Mbit/s up to 240Mbit/s the DATaRec® D-Series offers state-of-the-art data acquisition systems to simultaneously record analog, video, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, PCM data streams and other signals. The range of interface modules with self-contained signal conditioning can be interchanged by the user to meet the requirements of virtually any application.

By simply exchanging the modules it is possible to adapt the DATaRec® D-Series for different missions within minutes. The data is stored on tape (AIT), hard disk or solid state devices. The DATaRec® D-Series mainframe remains on the aircraft or vehicle. The removable storage cartridge enables the transport of data to the office environment using a low-cost playback unit. If the data has to be replayed to a simulator or bus analyzer the mainframe can be equipped with replay modules to reconstruct the data as if being connected to the test object.

Ground Station Recorders

The DATaRec® GSR-Series offers a flexible solution for data acquisition, storage and replay in applications without special environmental requirements. Acquisition data rates from 28 Mbit/s up to 240 Mbit/s and the 19" rack mount form factor are ideal for replacement for laboratory and mobile telemetry ground stations. The DATaRec® GSR Series are extensively used to replace old unsupportable laboratory reel to reel instrumentation tape recorder/reproducer systems.

Being a complement to the DATaRec® D Seriesthe DATaRec® GSR Series makes use of the available signal interface modules for the parallel acquisition of analog signals, video signals, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429, PCM streams and other signals.

The DATaRec® GSR Series employs up to 6 signal interface modules in any combination to be used in any given data acquisition task. Signal interface mdules are available to support multiple input signals.

The DATaRec® GSR Series is offered with a wide range of input data rate capabilities to enable you to select the most affordable solution for your specific test requirements.

A variety of storage media types and capacities are offered. Systems are offered in either a fixed or removable media configuration. Optional tape (AIT or DLT), hard disk drive or solid state media types are available to best meet your testing environment.
